The Summer School is an exclusive chance to meet and learn from the world’s leading researchers within skin immunology. 10 speakers will give the newest insight on skin renewal, tissue immunology and inflammation at the Summer School 18-20th of May 2026.

LEO Foundation Skin Immunology Research Center, University of Copenhagen, invites young and talented researchers from across the world to join an intense three-day learning experience on skin and immunological skin disease research. The Springtime School offers 1:1 interaction with and feedback from leading experts on this year’s theme: Skin Immunity and Homeostasis

The Summer School targets PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. Participants will be selected based on applications containing a short abstract (250 words) and CV to ensure representation of a variety of relevant research themes.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application no later than 19th of February 2026.
Participation is free of charge for all attendees and will include accommodation, meals and refreshments for the duration of the conference. Participants must cover own travel, insurance expenses, food and hotel before and after the conference.
A limited number of travel grants will be awarded and applicants can apply for the travel grant in the registration process.
The Summer School will be held at atmospheric Hotel Hornbækhus, acclaimed as one of Europe's best seaside hotels for its scenic surroundings in Hornbæk, Denmark and the equally charming Hotel Bretagne, only a short walk away. Transport will be provided from Copenhagen at approx. 11:00 hrs. on Monday the 18th of May and returning back to Copenhagen at approx. 14:30 hrs. on Wednesday the 20th of May.
