SIC Seminar Series - Professor Nicolai Birkbak

Thymic health and its impact on longevity, cancer, and treatment response

In this seminar, Nicolai will discuss how thymic health varies substantially between individuals and is shaped by sex, age, and lifestyle factors. He will present evidence that preserved thymic health is associated with increased longevity, reduced risk of age-associated disease, and improved cancer survival.

In the context of cancer treatment, he will further show that thymic health influences patient responses to immunotherapy in the metastatic setting, independently of established tumour-derived biomarkers.

If you are interested in meeting Nicolai, please reach out to Helene Scheel Wegener helene.wegener@sund.ku.dk who is the organiser of this seminar.

A lunch and dinner will also be organised, and Helene will send out information separately.

All researchers and immunology enthusiasts are warmly invited to attend.

Note: This seminar will not be offered online.
