Gut IgA responses: Everything - Everywhere - All at Once.

Prof. Pabst’s work focuses on understanding the balance between immunity and tolerance in mucosal tissues, with current projects addressing antibody responses to microbiota, immune cell migration, and the interplay between the gut and liver in shaping adaptive immunity.

The Pabst lab is working to understand how immunity and tolerance are balanced in mucosal tissues. Current projects focus on controlling antibody responses to microbiota, immune cell migration, and the cooperation between the gut and liver in shaping adaptive immune responses.

Oliver Pabst studied biotechnology and obtained his PhD in developmental biology before focusing on immunology. He was appointed Professor of Mucosal Immunology at Hannover Medical School in Germany, and has been Head of the Institute of Molecular Medicine at RWTH University in Aachen since 2014
