SIC's Annual Activity Report 2025

The LEO Foundation Skin Immunology Research Center (SIC) has released its Annual Activity Report 2025, highlighting a year marked by scientific progress, strategic investments, and strengthened international collaborations.

The report documents key advances across SIC’s research areas, alongside developments in education, outreach, and infrastructure. In 2025, the Center continued to expand its research environment, integrating new expertise and technologies while reinforcing its position within skin immunology and barrier research.

Reflecting on the year, Executive Director Professor Jonathan Coquet emphasises both progress and direction: “2025 was a year of scientific breakthroughs, new partnerships and tremendous investment in SIC’s future.”

In 2025, research from SIC advanced our understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling barrier inflammation, cancer heterogeneity, T cell responses, and led to improved pipelines for protein biomarker detection in skin tissue.
